Brief reflection: Employers only EXPLOIT workers.

It is quite common to hear that employers are not interested in their workers, they are inhumane, and they exploit them if they are allowed to. Such a belief has already been completely refuted by economic theory. And to clarify it, it is only necessary to define in its true dimension the entrepreneurs and the market.

First of all, we call an entrepreneur a person who "undertakes" an action, i.e. one aimed at satisfying a material need. To achieve this, the entrepreneur must be an innovator and bring together a team of people who work alongside him. If the employer is clever, he will obviously want the best ones with him, and in order to get them, he will offer the best possible salary, the one that his productive activity allows him to pay, otherwise, the workers could simply opt for other employers who offer them a better salary.

Secondly, in a free market, consumers are the kings. If an employer, instead of looking for improvement, decides to "exploit", workers can simply change bosses, for whom they feel they will pay what they think is worth their while. When this preference of workers intersects with the preference of employers, it will lead to a situation that tends to balance, in which both employers and workers can cooperate. This shows that the myth of exploitation is fallacious in every respect, and if we want to improve conditions for workers, we must ensure that there are free markets so that they too can choose between different employers.
