The politics of shame: Can the world ever grow with corruption?

This write up is inspired by an online story I found about a young man who unwittingly admitted to election results manipulation while trying to claim he no longer wants to work with a particular prominent party in Nigeria.
Before I start, I wish to say this: Get you permanent voters card and vote those corrupt wankers out of the seat of power!

Welcome to the center stage of madness, a place where we discuss why corruption should be eliminated and how it should be eliminated. You can never input the same thing and expect different results. If you think a new party will save a country or a coalition, you are wrong! What will save a country is the right set of people who are qualified for the job, being given the opportunity to do so. Furthermore, we have to look past the bribes being offered and actually decide to make a change.

For decades, we have been recycling the same old crooks under different names and different political parties using the same old tricks.
As usual, a year to the elections, projects will get flagged off, promises will be made and "miracle" appointments will starting popping up here and there, but don't be fooled, these are the same old tricks being recycled.

We have to come to the understanding that all these things are just ploys to get your thumb print on a ballot. Speaking of which, who still uses that old method when there are other credible methods?
The truth is that these people will die in power and breed the "younger" generation of older crooks who have never left the corridors of power in the first place but were just simply loyalists to them and when these young people of about sixty five years and above get into power, we experience a rinse and repeat cycle.

Now that elections are fast approaching, they are desperately trying to distract our minds with other things like entertainment activities, false appearances, scam projects which will never be completed, silencing the opposition through assassination attempts and outright arrests, propaganda and so on and we are left buying the dailies each day just to witness all these things.

Worse part is that they have flown their children and loved ones abroad for safety reasons while they destroy their country in the name of power grab. We see young and viable young men who should have been otherwise productive to their respective countries going about with arms and killing one another for politicians who fight each other by day and exchange pleasantries by night and secretly call one another and make fun of those who kill themselves for their (the politician's) personal agendas.

It is all just politics, whoever wins is all good, all they have to do is simply defect to the ruling party and wait for the next person and repeat the same thing. Friends have become enemies fighting for the interest of another man instead of the INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY.
The children of these politicians are on talking terms and are civil to one another at the very least, while we butcher and massacre one another like barbarians.

Someone once said that "how can a jobless first son afford a powerbike of over eighty million naira." The answer is simple, he cannot but the money from the nation's coffers can afford him a private jet.
Corruption is when you basically put people behind bars for misappropriation of public funds and even deny some bail for medical reasons, make sentimental arrests and ignore mysterious cases of animals swallowing millions of naira, burying cases of millions stashed in apartments, yet your own son WHO IS JOBLESS can afford a bike that even directors of government agencies cannot afford on their salaries and no one can bat an eye lid.

Corruption is when blockchain technology despite it's numerous applications is not being considered for use, I am not even sure they know what it is yet they prefer the old system which allows them to embezzle in power and worse part is they keep contesting and winning under different parties. The problem is not the name of the party, it is the people found in the party.

Be wise and look for young and credible candidates.

The thing is I don't know if corruption can be wiped out on it's entirety, you know it's a very fabric that needs to be burned to be totally eradicated, corruption abounds everywhere even in the blockchain, sometimes wanting too much more, a egotistical opinion and way of life can be a factor and corruption in politics, is another game of chess

In Nigeria, it would even be better if we didn't have government, cuz the ones ready to serve would be killed by entities around them, we vote but our vote didn't count, whoever they want is the one they would put on the Sit. I'm just tired of these crook politicians

corruption
corruption have entered the blood stream of our leaders. Yeah, like you said, election is fast approaching and they are up again with their fake promises, making our youth fight themselves and giving out unnecessary money . This is also caused by our youth that are easily compromised by what they are promised.

All i have to say is that, we can do it, we can stop corruption if we unite.
It is all in the hands of the youth.

So i stand with you, we should 'Be wise and look for young and credible candidates.'.

Thank You.

But how can we even vote the wrong people out? How many of us are willing to come out to vote? I believe we can use our PVC rightly but that's if we all come out on that particular day to vote.
I believe most Nigerians have this notion that their votes don't count which is a wrong mindset, and for that reason, they are already discouraged about the voting.

Another thought will be, Does INEC really use our votes to declear the winners?
Only God and our PVC can save us!
