RE: To vote or not to vote? Close the gap

in #politics6 years ago

for me this is rather easy. I just prefer to vote as it is a right i have and there were times that people just didn't have these rights. Casting your vote isn't that simple though. It may seem insignificant cause it's just one vote but each person has to do a research before voting in order to learn what the candidates believe, represent, what's their past and whether you agree with their positions or not.

If you choose not to vote, that's ofc your choice but you aren't achieving something by doing it, literally it has 0 impact. If you aren't sure what to vote because "everyone is corrupted" just choose a candidate that probably gonna take just a few votes and "support" him. At least that way you may give voice to someone else. (this is a bit controversial cause the voting system isn't exactly the same in every country, for example America and Greece have totally different systems, so some of what i say may seem totally weird )

Finally, i really learnt something new today, or to say it a bit better, i saw another perspective you presented that of the Youth. I am in that category so it didn't crossed my mind at all :P but you are so right!

It can be very hard to vote between some choices, but as you say, it is a right we haven’t always had, so should not be squandered.
