Internet ID Planned by Bilderbergers After Free Speech Crackdown
Apparently the Bilderberg meetings had planned to crack down on free speech prior to the last US election. The elites, in Dresden, Germany, June 2016, discussed purging social media of certain types of content, and also implementing an Internet ID.

Elites from all over gather in a secret meeting each year to plan what they are going to do on the world stage. Sometimes they plan for the years activity, but often it's a long term strategy that can take decades.
A virtual passport was reportedly a main topic in 2016, where web users would obtain in order to get internet services. Sources in the meeting leaked this information to Info wars sources like Paul Joseph Watson.
With this passport, social media and tech giants would "use the online passport to revoke posting permission if a user violates terms of agreement". This does seem to be where we are heading. And this was talked about before the recent purges ramped up in the past 2 years.
It's not make believe, as even CBS News reported Obama proposing a National Internet ID in 2011:
President Obama is planning to hand the U.S. Commerce Department authority over a forthcoming cybersecurity effort to create an Internet ID for Americans.
It was supposed to be voluntary (at least), but it never came to fruition. At the time, it was believed that the government couldn't create this system, as it wouldn't be trusted. Well lo and behold, the private sector is now going to be bringing it about.
Facebook already has it's eyes on this endgame in 2011, as reported by MIT Technology Review. Tech giants like Facebook and Google have most of our data, and are poised to incentivize and entice the populace into welcoming an Internet ID to combat the "threat" of "dangerous" online information.
It all seems to be coming together... :/

If I am remembering correctly, the Fabien Institute has a turtle as their mascot/logo. Point being that they come up with a long-term plan and keep the momentum up for however long it takes to reach their goal.
It seems to me that the "ultimate" goal is a one-world government.
It is stoppable if we all get involved with our communities and local governments. The powers-that-shouldn't-be are very organized and have been doing this for a long time. We can learn from their successes to change the game to our advantage.
Yes, slow, progressive, increment gradual change, that is hardly perceivable to the masses. They use time and memory-history lapses of the masses to get away with it.
Always a war on free speech as folks don't want ti to be free. Does this mean that Bilderberg is still trying to impose an internet ID or have they given up? Thanks @krnel
We won't know until leaks form the next meeting I guess ... but even then we can't know for sure.

An informative and a great blogpost indeed.
To begin with, this is really a great initiative and it seems they are B(U)ILD(ING)erberg a healthy online community.
Dealing with misinformation is a great challenge and because of this one single factor, there have been many instances of incitement of violence between communities, groups and the like.
This Internet ID is sure to provide a befitting solution to this menacing problem of misinformation.
Anyhow @krnel, this one is a great blogpost by all standards!
