It was the 9th Saturday of the yellow vests protest. The former ones were particularly violent, yet no external events disrupted these protests. So why should this be the case this time, when things were going smoothly for once?
Moreover, the attack on the banks did not benefit from good communication, many French people (including myself) were not even aware of it, and it was a total flop.
I don't think this gas explosion was orchestrated. This is not the first time such a tragedy has occurred, nor has it been the first time that firefighters have been caught in such accidents.
The terrorist attack on the Strasbourg Christmas market at the end of 2018 raises many more questions...
Thanks for your input on the event ;) How do firefighters get caught in the accident after the explosion went off? I would think they went to deal with the gas leak, and it blew.
That's it. They were warned of the gas leak, so they came. They were working on it when it exploded.
