Due to budget cuts Louisiana warns 37,000 Medicaid recipients may lose coverage

The Louisiana Department of Health, on orders from Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards, mailed 37,000 letters out to people Tuesday who rely on Medicaid health care programs that are considered “optional” under federal guidelines. The letters warned them they could lose their home health care aides and be forced out of their nursing homes starting July 1.

My thoughts on this news

The rich get richer so the poor keep losing more and more. This is what happens when the government is run and owned by the wealthy, they create a regressive taxation system and/or keep cutting their taxes so they don't have to pay almost no taxes to the government. Meanwhile all public programs which the government has provided for the poorest Americans can no longer be funded. Looks like that is what is going on in Louisiana, the government is not getting enough tax revenue to cover their expenses so they are cutting spending for programs that goes to disabled Americans who need assistance. Meanwhile wealth inequality continues to increase because the wealthy are giving themselves more and more tax cuts which is slowly destroying the government...
