Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un signed a joint statement Tuesday that offered a vague commitment to work “toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.” And not much else. While the declaration was hailed by both leaders as “an epochal event of great significance,” analysts have dismissed the document as lacking the kind of concrete commitments needed for a real change in the region.

My thoughts on this news

I am actually surprised this meeting finally took place after all the name calling and cancellations by both sides. Looking at what they signed, this meeting was nothing more than a photo up for both countries. The agreement they signed is basically meaningless and almost identical to the agreement that was signed in 1993. Really the only interesting thing that Trump said is that the USA would give up its war games they practice with South Korea against North Korea. We will see if that will actually happen because Trump tells many lies, but in my opinion North Korea will never give up it's nukes because it is not beneficial for them when there is a threat from the USA. I guess we will see if there will be future meetings and if they actually have an concrete agreements that are documented on paper. This was nothing more than a dictator and a dictator wannabe taking photos together pretending like they are doing something for their people...
