The USA Federal deficit soars to $895 Billion per year

in #politics6 years ago

The federal deficit hit $895 billion in the first 11 months of fiscal 2018, an increase of $222 billion, or 32 percent, over the same period the previous year, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). The nonpartisan CBO reported that the central drivers of the increasing deficit were the Republican tax law and the bipartisan agreement to increase spending.

My thoughts on this news

The party of fiscal responsibility has once again proven that they are not fiscally responsible at all. They just cut taxes for the rich to make them richer and they do not care that they increase debt and the deficit of the US government. It seems to me the Republican party wants to destroy the US government, they keep spending money but are not getting enough tax revenue from the American people to cover all that spending. Instead they keep creating more money or borrowing it from other countries. Eventually this will lead to hyperinflation and a collapse of the US dollar. When the US dollar has no value, the US government will seize to function.
