It's not difficult to see through the charade you just have to want to. Sadly I think many know that they're being lied to but don't care, which is so much worse. The power of critical thinking is being educacted out of children in the Government training camps as the MSM lionise a culture of stupidity and shallowness. Someone once said "You get the leaders you deserve" and the choices offered up by the two party Oligharchy in the last US election is testament to the levels American politics have sunk to.
Benevolent dictatorships are indeed a better system for those who live under them and they are denegrated and villified in the western press. Gadhaffi was an example of that. The lies told regarding the lot of the Lybian people prior to him being murdered instigated by Obombya and Hitlary were disingenuous as western 'democratic' leaders can't have us thinking that we're actually the ones living in the dictatorships disguised as a fair system.
So expect to see more bombing for freedom and economic sanctions to help the people both ridiculous Orwellian narratives in the near future.
Trump was just the least smelly turd in a giant pile of shit offered up by the two party system in the last election which is why he won, winning doesn't mean people thought he was a good leader it just means the majority thought the other sociapaths, psychopaths and morons were a much worse choice.
It's no different here in the UK, the asshats offered up to us in the last election were a collection of utter losers and don't get me started on France and Germany.
