Being able to advertise for political purposes on Facebook or any other form of social media should be disallowed. Given all of the unfounded claims and hype around the 2016 U.S presidential election, I am surprised that Facebook even allows these advertisements still.

In the interim, reporting them in mass numbers to drive up the cost is a great initiaitive. It might even make Facebook sit up and take notice, forcing it to deal with political ads differently.
