Are you talking about OpenLedger? If the bid goes through immediately then there won't be a record of an open order. Check your account to see if the amount you bought has shown up on the main page. You can also check your history on the coin market page, bottom left.
The market button, in wallet, for SBD & Steem. It works just updates real slow ( for me anyway ).
Yes, all of the exchanges are experiencing a higher volume of use do to the price of btc and how popular it is getting. All I can say is ...patience?
