Anti-curation day
Well... I had a couple of game reviews that I was hoping to be working on today... but I've put that on hold for a day of anti-curation. I've found quite a number of plagarised posts... and I'm just chasing the rabbit hole and getting as many of them reported before they grow into "trusted" accounts.
Sadly, I do see that they are harnessing the upvotes from @cleanplanet, @dtube, @agfacademy and #seven77 (run by @nathanmars) to grow their REP. Which means that when they make plagarised posts, there is less initial suspicion because the REP numbers tend to be over 50... Please note, this is not a comment on the curation activities of the initiatives above (which are good initiatives), but more a comment on how bad actors are harnessing and abusing the good intent of others to make their accounts "trusted". I guess there is an argument that those larger curation accounts need to keep a closer eye on who is harvesting their "curation" votes.... Although, it isn't directly their problem, the proliferation of bad accounts does affect us all....
So, short post today... off to get more bad guys! In some ways, it is depressing... but on the other hand, I love a good puzzle and a touch of detective work! I start to feel like Noddy the Toyland detective! (Yes... this is modern reboot of Noddy!)

See, that's the problem with everything...you have, and always will have people that cheat systems that people relied and loved. Great work hunting them down...that's a key part on how decentralization can work, someone must do the job!
It's also the key problem with decentralisation... No one wants to do it...

Ya that is the ugly side of things. The stuff I've seen people do to try and farm out votes from dapps and other places. The rep system has very little meaning these days anyways. far to easy to just buy rep.
Agreed, but Rep is what most people that are new see and trust.

Oh, not good @bengy. This all seems quite complicated, you are amazing to sort it all out. Always sad to see people cheating the system, unfortunately that just makes it more difficult for the rest of us! Thanks for what you're doing!
Yes... It is the bad actors, but it is also the curation accounts taking that little bit of extra care... Rather than throwing out upvotes with little investigation.
