Still according to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, there are about 5,000 people who are still buried in the land of Balaroa and Petobo, in Palu. This information was obtained from the local village head. Volunteers are still unable to evacuate, due to terrain conditions that cannot be accessed yet.

The thing that is feared in Palu is liquefaction. Where the liquefaction phenomenon engulfs houses and people living above them and areas affected by liquefaction include the City of Palu and Sigi. Need to know Tsunami and Liquidity are very different. Liquidation can be interpreted as a decrease in land due to the solidification of the soil layer volume, while a Tsunami can be interpreted as a wave caused by deformation of the earth's crust on the deep seabed or due to landslides.

Acehnese people can feel the suffering experienced by the Palu community. Because in 2004 Aceh was rocked by a devastating tsunami and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. Not only the Indonesian people who glance to send aid to Aceh, to the outside of the State help in terms of medical personnel, volunteers, and funding assistance estimated at 10.3 billion US dollars.

Now the international world is glancing at the hammer, even though the disaster is not as severe as that experienced by the Acehnese people. There are already 10 countries willing to provide assistance to hammers, including Singapore, Turkey, Switzerland, Philippines, European Union, China, Australia, Morocco, South Korea and the United States. It is estimated that the funds collected from the International Country are Rp. 220 billion. Among them Until now, the Government has not determined the disaster of Palu in Central Sulawesi as a national disaster.
