A Prayer to Keep God First this New Year

Dear God,

Thank you for making everything new. Much thanks to you for all that you've permitted into our lives this previous year, the great alongside the hard things, which have reminded us of how much we need you and depend on your essence filling us each and every day.

We ask for your Spirit to lead us each progression of this New Year. We ask that you will manage our choices and turn our hearts to profoundly want you regardless of anything else. We ask that you will open entryways waiting be opened and close the ones waiting be closed tight. We ask that you would enable us to release our grasp on the things to which you've said "no," "not yet," or "pause." We ask for help to seek after you first, over each fantasy and want you've put inside our souls.

We request your wisdom, knowledge, for your strength and energy to be always present inside us. We pray you would make us strong and fearless for the journey ahead. Give us capacity past what we feel capable, let your blessings flow openly through us, with the goal that you would be honoured by our lives, and others would be attracted to you.
We pray for your guidance over our families and friends. We request your hand to cover us and keep us separated from the shrewd purpose of foes; that you would be an obstruction to encompass us, that we'd be sheltered in your grasp. We ask that you would give us wisdom and knowledge past our years, to comprehend your will, hear your voice, and know your ways.

We ask that you would keep our footsteps firm, on strong ground, helping us to be reliable and devoted. Give us heavenly perseverance to finish what has been started, not swerving to one side or to one side, or being too effortlessly distracted by different things that would look to call us from a close walk with you.

Forgive us for the periods we have worked so hard to act naturally adequate, overlooking our requirement for you, living autonomous of your Spirit. Forgive us for giving apprehension and stress a chance to control our psyches, and for permitting pride and narrow-mindedness wreak destruction over our lives. Pardon us for not following your ways and for living far off from your presence.

Shine your light in us, through us, over us. May we make a positive effect in this world, for your greatness and purposes. Set your path before us. May every one of your plans succeed. We may mirror your tranquility and plan to a world that so frantically needs your quality and mending.

To you be magnificence and honour, in this New Year, and until the end of time.
