promo-steem enters top 90 all time Steemit tags!
Powering up the charts.... Now in the top 90 all time tags by payout!
It's hard to believe it was only 23 days ago that the #promo-steem tag entered the top 100 all time tags. That was a great milestone. But it's even more interesting to see it continue to head up the table, overtaking some really serious tags, including culture, creative, homesteading, beauty, inspiration, and, holy shit....EOS!
At the time of writing this post, #promo-steem was at position 87 in the all time tags chart, with a total Steem Backed Dollars payout of 207,304SBD. This is an increase of 30% in the last 23 days since we entered the top 100.
In the last couple of weeks, we've seen a huge increase in promo-steem posts. And it's all come at a time when we are moving forward with ramping up the promo-steem programme.
Firstly, we have started to release for community approval the @steem-ambassadors. Over the coming few days, this is your opportunity to lend your support to those who are putting themselves forward as the eyes and ears of the #promo-steem community. These are well known steemians in the #promo-steem camp, and they will provide the decentralised curation for the guild.
We are in testing of the guild. We hope to be bringing it online for the whole community very soon. At the same time, we are continuing to need the support of the wider community, especially in bringing delegated SP into @steem-ambassador. We will be putting out a business case for this, and we ideally want to tie it all together with the launch of the Steem Ambassador guild and programme, and all the resources to back that up on the promo-steem.com website.
Getting rid of spam and encouraging high quality promotional content
Admittedly there has been a lot of spam, misuse and cross-posting to the #promo-steem tag, but with the release of the new community guidelines, as well as the guidelines for Steem Ambassadors, we hope to start encouraging people to only post high quality promotional content to the tag now.
Continuing support from the community
Despite it feeling like a hard slog sometimes, we are always encouraged by the support we get from the community. I'm personally blown away by way that promo-steem has started seeing some of our supporters getting involved with humanitarian aid, on the basis of them being voluntaryists. It's very humbling to realise that this is in fact happening right now!
But one of the best things you can do right now is to start to educate yourself to what #promo-steem is, how it works, where we are evolving towards, and what you can do to get involved and help if you are so minded. Oh, and join the SteemAuto trail for @steem-ambassador if you want to really support us.
Loads going on
There really is loads going on right now. We are rebranding, desiging our set for the London Cryptocurrency Show, Building a load of cool backend tools to help support promoters, working on the Steem Ambassador applications, and loads more besides. And that's on top of doing one of the most important jobs anyone could have on the STEEM blockchain...curating!
We appreciate your patience, and we literally are working often night and day to take #promo-steem to the next level. We never expected it to grow like it has done, so please do forgive us if you try to message us and we don't answer for a few days, we aren't ignoring you!

That is great news. In 6 months time, #promo-steem will be listed among the top 50 tags. We will get there, greater height
This to me shows that when something is done right it grows and when other people see that #promo-steem is making it's way up the ranks they will want to get aboard the train.
Well done to all that have made it possible, the website looks cool really professional and has a modern feel to it and it is easy to navigate and I know you guys have been working really hard to get this to were it is right now.
