Voluntarism basically implies the decision have social involvement with or without any form of compensation. The spirit of growth in this space greatly depends on that; a situation where people act out of their own free will for the purpose of pushing a vision in the forward direction.

Over the last few months, we saw a massive increase in the level of awareness created by steemians within the steem ecosystem. We saw the impact of the actions of various individuals who were excited about the innovation that we all leverage on here and couldn’t wait to tell their immediate communities. Most of these guys did what they did not expecting any form of reward or compensation but the STEEM SPIRIT kept them going knowing that what they were doing for necessary for the growth of this ecosystem. As a result of this, the number of active users greatly increased together with the number of registered users.

I used to see hundreds of users register on weekly basis in Nigeria and thousands registering from the other parts of the world.

However, at some points discouragement began to set in, since it was difficult to keep those new users on the platform. Other forms of discouragement included the lack of a reward system to keep new users going. These groups of voluntaryists were discouraged and we can see that form the reduction in the level of impact they made a few months ago.

Promo-steem came in at this point; an initiative that was started by @starkerz, @anarcotech, @stephenkendal. The idea behind this initiative was to encourage the steemians who actively participate in promoting the STEEM blockchain and the Steemit social media platform. They did a lot for individuals from all over the world especially those who live in the 3rd world countries. This model was perfected by the @steem-ambassador curation guild; where the voluntary actions of promoters are rewarded in a decentralized way.

However, the activities of these promoters (voluntaryists) were skewed towards promoting steemit and little or no attempt was made to promote STEEM the blockchain. The implication of this was the creation of a massive supply of STEEM and its utility token with very little demand for them. What I mean by this is that the aim of every regular user is to earn from Steemit and this doesn’t align with the need of investors who only want their investment to appreciate over time. This conflict of interest birthed another ground-breaking initiative by @starkerz and @anarcotech here on the STEEM blockchain; the only initiative that’s focused on bringing new investment to the STEEM blockchain.

The project I am talking about is none other than @oracle-d (Oracle – voluntaryists from all over the world working to improve blockchain projects and reward positive independent actions and D stands for decentralized. So what we have basically is ORACLE DECENTRALIZED. @oracle-d has proven the success of this initiative on several occasions ranging from bringing an investment of $200k to the STEEM blockchain by one reputable exchange platform to organizing the last GoNetCoins Contest to secure the first spot for the STEEM blockchain. One other thing is the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Oracle-D and @ASPEKTI to create a National Level Blockchain Institute in Indonesia.

Oracle-D has also successfully made several blockchain projects successful and famous as long as these project owners hold some amount of STEEM. That’s basically what it takes to be their client.

I am sure most of us didn’t know that Oracle-D is a promo-steem project. I like to call it the inverse of promo-steem; which is basically promoting STEEM the blockchain to potential investors. They have successfully created a model that points potential investors at the STEEM blockchain in order to leverage on the community strength here on this blockchain.

Promo-steem will revolutionize the STEEM blockchain and that will be because of the voluntary actions of individuals are rewarded by a selfless team of steemians.
There are other massive things happening on the STEEM blockchain, a lot of initiatives have been born out of promo-steem apart from Oracle-D. With time, I believe each and every one of them will begin to unfold before our eyes. The aim is to take STEEM to the moon.

1ST PHASE:

In this phase, we teach a few minnows accessing our offline classrooms for a period of time in order to help them attain self-sustenance. These selected minnows will then work on our team to reproduce other minnows. Thereby expanding the Nigerian community large enough to catch the attention of investors. Currently, we have just wrapped up with the first version of the first phase and the second phase, which is more tasking kicked already.

2ND PHASE:

The center of the focus of this objective is to take STEEM beyond writing and through STEEM create a network of influential young people that will influence their society with a positive impact like STEEM has done for them. Making STEEMIT in Nigeria grow into a community that sustains itself.

• THE OFFLINE MINNOW SCHOOL SKILL ACQUISITION PROJECTS: With this initiative, we will be empowering hundreds of young people who have an entrepreneurial mindset. Educating them not to trust in the former status quo. Hence, acquiring various skills that will shield them against the plague of unemployment in the third-world. The sole aim is to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs that thrive on voluntarism and are capable of collectively driving our nation’s economy to where it ought to be.

• THE OFFLINE MINNOW SCHOOL TALENT HUNT: We will give minnows who are not really writers but are endowed in other areas of gifting such as singing, painting, dancing, acting an avenue to express their abilities and get their creativity conceptualized. In simple terms, we are giving these young people words and a voice to resound the appropriate message. The ultimate implication is to awaken the writer in them.

• THE MINNOW SCHOOL ART/MUSIC EXHIBITIONS: here young people will get to showcase their God-given talents and the value they have to give to both the online and offline community. We will be sponsoring professional music creation. And with these gifts we'll strike a balance in all our broken communities will emerge with this.
