Our changing lives 'testimony to Steemit'.

Uganda is one of the worst countries to live in for a young person trying to make something for himself. The standards of living are so low due to the high inflation and the available jobs have nothing much to offer since they are a lot less than the number of people looking for them. This high degree of unemployment has turned innocent people into criminals, cutting their cost of living to one meal a day, in a bid to survive the economic crisis. And we as the first group of Steemians are proud to be the testimony of the life changing experience Steemit has given to us..

Steemit has been able to deliver a number of us from poverty and we gladly testify this. Many of us had lived unemployed for more than a year yet we had academic qualifications for decent jobs, some were in very low paying jobs which couldn't support the daily needs of life. But our lives have changed for the few months we've been active on the platform. The content we create on the Steemit has provided us with the Steem rewards which when converted to Ugandan currency is enough to support any person living a middle income status. Steemit is not only giving us rewards but also opening us to investments like Steem Power and we do have a chance to invest more outside Steemit using money from Steemit.

Though we haven't yet reached where we dream to be, we have made huge steps in moving towards them. And there is no doubt we are soon reaching there as long as we remain consistent on Steemit.
