What You Are, Where You Are and Who You Are is determined By The Community You Surround Yourself with
The community has a major role to play in yourself development. A community is a group sharing a common understanding and often the same language, manners, tradition and law.
That means the community around you has a way of influencing your thinking.

I was long on face book before I joined Steemit, because of how facebook is what we only think about is getting likes and becoming facebook famous not till I came in counter with Steemit and it changed my scenery with the way the community works. Instead of thinking about how to get likes, I started thinking about how to make an impact in the community.
I'll love to use a story to explain the concept of who you are, where you are and what you are is determined by the community around.
After getting a hold of the chicken, he saw another little bird who looked separated from his family so the farmer had to take the bird along side to the farm land.
The farmer trained and raise the bird like a fowl and the bird grow up thinking he was a fowl. He made noise like a fowl, he walked and play like a fowl.
Everything was alright before the beast attacked on faithful day. While the beast was soaring high and the chickens started running, looking for a place to hide. The beast picked out his target and aimed for it, it was so amazing.
One day the little bird went to get water and he saw the beast in the reflection of the water, so he started running but everyone stood and was staring at him, he was shocked why they were not running so he decided to go back to get the water, on reaching the beast attacked again and there was no way for him to run.
He later notice that in the water, he was now seeing the reflection of two beast and the beast was just looking at him. The beast was an eagle. The eagle tried talking to the little bird, but the bird couldn't understand, only what the bird understood was the sound of fowls. The eagle kept on trying, after awhile the little bird realized he was the same as the feared and dreaded beast who has been living below his standard
That is what the community around you can do to you. The community around you can either help you achieve your desired goal or can be the source of your failure.
Don't forget that nobody is stuck to one community, you can always change if it is not favouring you.
But first of all you need to find purpose like the little bird did, if you don't you can move forward instead you will just bend to the rule of the community which maybe so different from what you want in life.

If you want to be great, the you have to surround yourself with people that are great or people that thinks the same way as you because definitely there will come a time when the fire in you will reduce and you will need someone with the same fire as you to revive yourself.
I want to ought each and everyone of us to surround ourselves with communities that has the same dream as we do.
