Steemit Uganda meetup: The Event of the Year So Far.

The recently concluded Steemit Uganda meetup was a blast of knowledge and fun shared as both the old and newbie Steemians interacted.

It was held at Centenary Park mix lounge restaurant in Kampala City the capital of Uganda.

I can say it was the most fun meet-up I have been to so far and I would like to shout out to @achimmertens for the massive support (both financial and moral) he has shown to the Uganda community and to my fellow Steemians for making the day a success and for also striving for the growth of our community: @battebilly @ireneblessing @tesaganewton @musamalijames @mwamin7 @yohan2on @jaraumoses @shinejean @musemeza @natsemily and @jordanlove

The discussion started off with the Steemians introducing themselves and each one was required to mention their names, when they joined and who inspired them to join plus the benefits experienced from joining Steemit.

You should have seen the looks on peoples faces as they met their "whales" for the first time. Just priceless. I noted that most of the members present were introduced to Steemit by @jaraumoses (big thanks) including me. The discussion was moderated by @ireneblessing who was also leader of the meetup organising team. The chairperson was @jaraumoses who led us through the agenda of the meet-up

My biggest take from the event was how to secure my wallet by depositing Steem/SBDs with @minnowbooster and using Steemauto to automatically redeem rewards. Also I learned about tags that are profitable and heard amazing stories of people like @nathanmars who had sold his house to buy Steem Power (fascinating stuff). Read his post here

The after-party of the event went down at Kyadondo Rugby Club where we had to celebrate a fellow @shinejeans birthday. She didn't tell us her age though (just curious) anyway, it was fun as we had more food (read roast meat) drinks and ofcourse dancing was on the menu. Thats how we wrapped up the meet-up day.
