Dubai First Meet Up @Steemph.UAE

Finally! The Meet and greet for steemph.uae based in northern emirates has happened. It was beautiful and memorable. Now we know who’s behind those awesome usernames.

Warm welcome and greetings filled the area, followed by lots of food. We’ve got lavish banquet of foods from appetizers, salads, main course and soup. Fantastic!

We got Buttered crabs, chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, beef bicol express, sweet and sour fish for the Main course

We got chicken isaw (chicken intestines, a streetfood), crackers, sorts of peanuts, spring roll for the appetizers and a nice bulalo soup

My son (Robbie) ate first as he was hungry, surprisingly he was not fussy not to mention he is hungry and tired. He seems to be taking it well. :-)

After a lot of chats and hello’s. Community leader @arrliinn discussed about @steemph.uae, aims to be bolder in initiative to help specifically the Filipino embassy in UAE.

1. It aims to be known a legitimate UAE charity group.

2. To be engage actively to charity events like blood donations or charity projects.

3. To sponsor a ticket back home for distressed Overseas Filipino workers (OFW).

What is Steemit?

• A platform that you get paid by posting. It includes monetary rewards through cryptocurrency called SBD and STEEM.

Active Interaction in the community

• One of the essential tool to succeed in the platform is interaction by the means commenting and upvoting content fellow users. (Give love and be friendly, people will do the same).

What is Steepshot

• I have been seeing these for some of the post but actually no idea what it’s all about until today, (Thank you @arrliinn). It is more like an instagram thing, posting with few captions and earn Steem. (I might try it one day).

• Is discouraged and not accepted. Important thing is you should not copy or you should properly cite the source.

I was so glad and honored to be able to meet all of you who came all the way far just to make this event possible. Me @sherylneil and @mr-neil is so grateful for the beautiful experience. We have learn a lot today about Steemit. It is lovely to meet all of you.

As our closing time, we had our group photos. And i was deeply touched and joyful to @lynn and @pingcess to wished them an offspring soon by touching their tummies. Thank you that was special.
