How to be happy in spite of loneliness

Sometimes life does not leave us even with anyone to talk to, but this does not mean that a person should remain unhappy if he can only adapt to the situation.

Look at the reason why you are in seclusion and do not refuse to find a solution that will help you to return to life in society. One such reason is agoraphobia, a fear of open space that turns a person into a person who is unable to leave his home, thereby creating a lonely lifestyle. The rest are those whom we call "hermits", people who, because of medical or physical testimony, can not go out to the local store or to the church. They can use medical care and social services, but everything remains exactly the privacy with which they must cope.

Find a hobby and follow it. This is not always suitable for every situation, but with a lot of opportunities, you can find something that will fill your hours with pleasant activities. Learn to knit, sew, crochet, or macrame, these crafts will help you fill your time with good, like painting, drawing, or literary creation.

Listen to music. Music has long been recognized as a means of improving the emotional state, if a person is in a gloomy or dull mood, besides, it is available from many sources, from online, to radio and satellite communications, an unlimited choice of music exists virtually anywhere in the world. Find a genre of music that suits your taste, and do not just listen to it, but study, immerse yourself in it.

Read. Obviously, with a good novel, you can be alone in the room, but feel that you are transported to strange and beautiful worlds beyond imagination, and fill your time with adventures. If you can not read, there are thousands of audiobooks that can be received by mail or from any retail source, or from file hosting, the least expensive option.

Subscribe to periodicals that focus on topics of interest to you. There are dozens of topics available to most people, from gardening to fishing, handicrafts and travel. There are also many "electronic journals" on the Internet, most of which are free for the user.

Visit chat rooms, interest groups, or other internet sites that interest you. You can find hundreds of friends who share your circumstances, and many close friendships develop between people who have never personally met and live thousands of miles apart.

Consider your resources and daily needs. Living alone means not having anyone to turn to if your opportunities have not justified themselves, there is no one to borrow such basic supplies as food and toiletries if you run out of them.

Buy a pet if you can keep it. Depending on the reason and nature of your privacy, you may not have access to veterinary care and food for large dogs or other traditional pet food, but there are other options that are easier to care for. If you can not take care of the animal at all, you can still feed wild animals and birds in your surroundings, and watch how this brings some comfort to your loneliness.

Also, reach out to people. I've always found that people are a lot more supportive than I expect. Often people want to help you. You don't need to feel like you are burdening everyone -you'll discover quickly the best people to talk to.
