Sometimes I feel like this may be a result of boredom around a board room table

It's a scary direction they're heading in. I'd be mortified to think that people had been intervening in my daughters' sexual education like that. My policy was always simple honesty, but only when they wanted to know and only as much as to answer the question they asked. If they were ready for more detail, they would ask further questions. To have that undermined could have caused confusion and possibly distress. Children are vulnerable and try to fit in however they can. If they are taught that being the opposite sex is the thing to be, then they will follow that, whether they are transgender or not.
When I was a child I was horrified that I would one day develop breasts. It was fear of the unknown and at the time I briefly wished I wasn't a girl. Eventually I thought a bit more about whether I would want to be a boy and the idea of dangly bits between my legs made me decide, absolutely not! Lol! What would have happened if at that point I was coerced into changing my gender, because someone decided that must be my true gender showing through?
I would never stand in the way of who does feel they are of the wrong physical gender, but I would also never advocate any permanent changes on any minor. Support them and keep them open minded so they know that when they reach maturity the choice is completely theirs. Even adults can change their minds.
I have to say that the comments on the video are a bit overly aggressive. I guess it really riles some people up! I'm actually starting to warm to our new prime minister 😨. His comment about teachers not coming between parents did it.
Yeah, that is what concerns me. People being pushed into something that is incorrect before they have the faculties to choose. I have a stronger stance on it now, because a man can absolutely not "feel' like a woman and vice a versa. Because psychologically they have no concept of what it is to be the opposite sex. They can only feel like they want to behave like the opposite sex. Physiologically and psychologically it is impossible, excluding the insignificant minority that have genetic problems causing them to have both chromosomes.
You would have a slightly stonger jaw line, would have to shave and would dress like a nerdy guy. hehe
Yeah, I wanted to show how people are really starting starting to be over this stuff now. I used to be tolerant of it, after all people can do what they like and I still think they can, however they cannot make me treat them like something they are not. I am also less concerned with peoples feelings in general now, and would rather make an assessment on individual basis.

That's a very good point. I never really thought about that, but you are quite right. We can never truly experience what it is like to physically be what we're not, only imagine. We can also only imagine what it would be like to be in anyone else's body or life.
He's a politician, say no more! Let's not hold our breath.
