132 - Estátua da Liberdade

Continuando a série de Comemorativos Modernos Americanos, apresentaremos hoje o 1986-S "Estátua da Liberdade" gradada pela PCGS PR70 DCAM.

Todas as moedas pesam 26,73g com 90% de pureza de prata. Foram emitidas com acabamento Proof e Brilliant Uncirculated.

Elas serão apresentadas na ordem em que foram cunhadas.

Ela foi emitida para comemorar o 100º aniversário da dedicação da Estátua da Liberdade.

Seu obverso mostra uma vista da Estátua da Liberdade com o edifício principal de Ellis Island ao fundo.

O reverso mostra a mão da estátua com a tocha acesa, com as palavras finais do poema de Emma Lazarus "O Novo Colosso". Estas palavras estão gravadas numa placa de bronze, dentro da estátua.

Foram emitidas 6.414.638 moedas. O preço de lançamento foi de U$24,00 e o preço atual é cerca de U$160,00 neste grau.
