Continuando nossa série de $.50 Comemorativos Americanos, vamos mostrar hoje o 1936-S "Columbia".
Como todos os $.50 comemorativos, ele pesa 12,5g com 90% de pureza de prata.
Esta moeda comemora o Sesquicentenário do estabelecimento de Columbia, Carolina do Sul, como capital do estado.
O obverso mostra a Deusa da Justiça em pé, tendo o Capitólio de 1776 à sua esquerda e o de 1936 à sua direita.
O reverso mostra uma árvore de palmito (símbolo do estado) cercada por estrelas.
Um total de 8,007 moedas foram emitidas em San Francisco e distribuídas. O preço atual é de cerca de U$300.00 neste grau.
