There are several reasons why people pay for or hire followers on social media.
Amongst these reasons include; fame, business purposes, likes and comments, ranking, a desire for increased organic interaction, a sense of validation etc.
Of all these reasons, the two are considered important are business purpose and organic interaction. The competition to get followers for just fame and ranking is not really necessary.
