Do fathers really need to be in the delivery room during the birth of their children? Is there really any need for them to do so? Is it okay to choose not to witness it?

The choice of whether a father should be in the delivery room could be based on varying factors. Regardless of the situation, why is obtained in the normal labour environment is that the husband stays outside (that is, he's not inside the labour room). This is most times to help him emotionally because he would get hurt seeing his wife go through such pains at delivery and the wife in turn seeing how downcast her husband is because of her may be unable to do the needful to give birth successfully.

Contrarily, some women request that their husband's be allowed into the labour room. The presence of the husband gives them strength and endurance to go all the way.

There is no crime in choosing not to witness it but if your wife requires your presence, that's the least you could do for her.

Some parents today choose to be present at their children's births. It seems excellent to be able to enjoy such a special event. However there are men very sensitive to look at blood and may suffer, even, fainting, so it must be a well thought out decision and if possible watch videos before deciding whether they really want it or not.

Well said... Lol... I don't even know if I want to be there. I'm not bugged by the sight of blood and watching my wife through those pains.. Well, maybe it would make some men value and appreciate their wives.
