Chicken rice - Asian Style

I am making this meal that is very easy to prepare, full of flavor and economical and even the children at home love it. It is not a Chinese meal but I gave it a touch of an Asian rice.

Ingredients:

  • ½ chicken without skin
  • 5 cups of rice
  • 1 small carrot cut in tiny pieces
  • 1 cup of fresh sprouts
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon of chinese salt (ajinomoto)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoon of paprika
  • 4 branches of chives cut
  • If you have 1/4 cup of petit pois or green peas

Preparation:

  • Add some oil in a saucepan and fry the chicken
  • Wash the rice
  • add it to the chicken
  • add 8 cups of water
  • add the rest of the ingredients
  • mix well adjusting the salt at your taste
  • cook at high fire until the water dries
  • once the water evaporates, low the flame and cover with a lid
  • cook the rice for 15 minutes and add the sprouts and mix
  • cover again and cook for an extra time of 5 minutes
  • make an omelette with 3 eggs and cut it in small pieces
  • add to the rice and decorate with chives
