There are no easy answers to the problems identified. I fear that the only answers will come with a major overhaul of all things. Unfortunately, radical changes like that come with consequences for everyone.
Easy to get done, no. But the technology is cheap enough and accessible enough, with enough pressure by the public, we can put body cameras that live stream every second of officer duty to to an immutable database. Tom Zebra has enacted his own version of this by filming police with his cellphone camera on YouTube, although the data can be deleted. His channel showcases good and bad.
I'm talking about a major change of ALL things. Police corruption is just a symptom of a decaying structure.
