Random Japan #51 :: The Tan San Kick (& win 1 SBD—details inside)

in #randomjapan6 years ago

Hello and welcome, my internet friends. Glad you could make it to the latest edition of Random Japan, that random look at the real side of Japan, the good and the bad of the everyday.

Today… well you know what, no preview today. Let’s just jump right in. Oh, and the standard contest I’ve had running on my last few posts stands: gimme an upvote, a resteem, and a quality comment about your favorite photo from this post and you will be entered in the drawing for 1 SBD.

Ready for the photos? Let’s go. Let’s jump into another entry in…

Inviting House

Nice house. At least a nice gate and seems to be a nice yard.

There goes the train. This is not as hard a shot to catch as you might think. This train rumbles over about every five minutes all day.

Tansan (炭酸) is the Japanese word for soda water/seltzer. I’ve always enjoyed seltzer, but in the past it was relatively tricky to find here in Japan. Luckily for the past few years there has been a seltzer fad and you can now find many varieties everywhere. This is a new one.

That’s all folks. Thank you for reading. Remember, if you want to be entered in the drawing for 1 SBD, leave a quality comment, upvote, and resteem this post. Drawing will be in 7 days when this post pays out.

Be sure to come back again tomorrow when, if prosperity allows, I shall return for another entry in Random Japan. See you then.

If you like this random photo from Japan, be sure to check out @kaliju’s great Random Korea series. The latest entry there is Random Korea #27 - Presentation of the Fermentation

Also be sure to follow @kafkanarchy84, @maxinpower, @boxcarblue, and @wllmdnnd for even more random Japan fun! @jrvacation has the occasional randomjapan post too. Also, be sure to follow the #randomjapan tag for more from Japan and #randomasia for random shots from the entire area.

Are you a Japan-based or Asia-based photographer who posts somewhat random photos from the country? If so, use the tag #randomasia, and #randomjapan (or randomASIANCOUNTRYYOUAREIN) on your posts. Also, join our Discord group. DM me on Discord for a link to the server.

Hi there David LaSpina is an American photographer lost in Japan, trying to capture the beauty of this country one photo at a time.
Sort:

I thought the last one was a really excitable sun tan lotion until I read the caption ;) Great shots, all showing such different perspectives - the second one has an 'outer city' feel about it, in that it could be anywhere at all and not what you think of when Japan comes to mind.
