The only thing I don't like about driving on the highways (besides the too high toll, but that almost goes without saying) is so many of the roads have those tall barriers on either side, limiting what you can see of the beautiful landscape. Otherwise, it's all good. Great random photos!

Maybe one day I can go. Now you said you got your international driving permit through AAA. Where do you usually live? We have that in the states too.

Yep, driving can be quite fun here in Japan. Streets of course are narrower than in Germany but cars are smaller too. So no problem

love driving in Japan! expensive on highways but its all worth it. and love the "pit stops"
Some stops are really amazing. Like a small shopping mall. Good food too!
oh man the pitstops are so fun! Some even have themes and midday acrobatic shows to watch ahaha

We are from Singapore. Yes a IDP is required for visitors to drive in Japan.
