Rant: Google Play Music is a piece of shit and so is Google's support

This is a rant no one will probably want to read. I'm writing it as it will be cathartic for me.

I enjoy music. I listen to all sorts. Up until just a few hours ago, I was using Google Play Music, and its subscription (with complimentary YouTube Red) - to listen to all sorts of music, including music that I had purchased.

That is, up until I got an error message:

Too many Devices used with Music Library.
Your music library can be used with up to 10 devices. You'll need to deauthorise one of your devices before adding another.

There's a helpful "Manage Devices" button. I click it. I remove all the things (there's only three listed) - I sign out and back into my Google account. I restart my phone. I still get the error message.

I search the Internet for clues. There's a few workarounds. I try them all. Okay, I guess I'll try the option that lets Google contact me and I can speak to a human.

I fill in the webform, and report my problem, outlining in great detail what I've done to try and resolve the issue.

"An agent will call you shortly." The webpage changes an instant later. "We were unable to call you. You were unavailable."

Excuse me?

I fill in the form again, and this time, immediately get a call. "Press 1 to speak with a Technical Specialist".

I excitedely mash 1, a resolution in site after what feels like hours roaming about in the desert with nothing but silence.

"Transferring you to a representative."

!!! Music, again, soon!

"Unfortunately, we're unable to take calls at this time."

"Please call back later."

What a fantastic experience as a paying customer. I've cancelled my Google Play Music subscription and now have a bunch of things that I purchased, with my money, that I can't access anymore.

You're the best, Google.

Hopefully it's just a glitch. I heard there was a ruling recently that was going to hurt some streaming companies though. Maybe it affected Google?

Nothing worse than automated telephone services.

I feel you. I also have youtube red. Seems better on basically one device.

I could write you a BOOK about my dealings with google on other issues though. They suck
