A Glorious Escape

A GLORIOUS ESCAPE

From the immemorial, God has always made a way of escape for the righteous before releasing His judgment on sinners. Several accounts in the scriptures corroborate this statement. In the day of Noah, before destroying the inhabitants of the earth with water, God instructed Noah to build an ark for the escape of the obedient people.

Before the exodus, He also instructed the children of Israel to kill a lamb and sprinkle its blood on their door post so that they could escape the plague of death as an angel smote all the firstborns of the Egyptians in one night. Before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone, he sent angels to bring out lot and his family for safety.

These are just few among many cases mentioned in the bible. The rapture is another way by which God’s saints will escape the judgment that will come upon the inhabitants of the earth who have refused to repent of their sins. It is the next momentous event in God’s line of programmes for the end-time. It is the supernatural removal of faithful believers in Christ from the earth, the earnest expectation and hope of every Christian who is living in this present world.

At the rapture; all true believers in Christ, dead or alive, will be caught up to be with the Lord in the air; just before God visits the earth with His wrath. The rapture will take place any moment from now, because all the signs preceding the occurrence as predicted by the scriptures are everywhere.

The insurrections and terrorists activities in different parts of the globe, the devastating global economic recession, outbreak of various epidemics and diseases, the earthquakes and natural disaster, proliferation of churches with false prophets, the falling away of Christians from the faith and many other terrifying happenings are all fulfillments of this prophecy.

Brethren, do not be terrified by these happenings; rather be comforted by the prospect of partaking in the rapture. The rapture is God’s provision of escape from the great tribulation, a period when those who reject Christ and nominal Christians who miss the rapture will be subjected to the most gruesome torture ever seen since the creation of the world.
