Literary in the Blockchain World |

The two paragraph introduction introduces two important messages. First, information about the poem Seakan Bersama itu Hanyalah Bibit Kesepian yang Diciptakan Sendiri (As If Together was the Only Lone Seed Created by Myself) that was read in the Roemah Melajoe Community in the North Sumatra Pavilion Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. The second, the poem has a strong correlation with the current state of the country so the writer decides to republish. This time through a network system (platform) named Steemit.

There is also other important information that is not included, including when the poem was read and what condition the poet meant. Is friendship tenuous due to political choices, or success that rips the friendship of human children. There is no explanation from the poet, as such he wants to provide an opportunity for the reader to interpret according to the experience and inner wealth of each. In fact, before the past seven days, there was still an opportunity to edit the manuscript, add or subtract information, photos, videos, or musical illustrations.

But it is the "shortcomings" that then provide space for discussion in the comments column. Interaction between poets and readers is not only developed by fellow writers in the country, but throughout the world, as long as they understand Indonesian. Perhaps because of consideration for a broader audience, some writers publish their work bilingual and discussions that develop intertwined in English and Indonesian.

An intense, fast and wide-ranging interaction that is impossible in the print media. Not infrequently, there are questions about Indonesian from other communities who don't know which country, because many account owners use strange nicknames and not all of them state their home country.

Reward of Cryptocurrency

Poetry _ Seakan Bersama itu Hanyalah Bibit Kesepian yang Diciptakan Sendiri_ uploaded by the @mpugondrong account owner are none other than the poet Irman Syah who is long-haired. Poetry poet active in a number of literary communities that received 59 votes (voted) with a total income of 1.01 Steem Blockchain Dollar or SBD, one of the two cryptocurrency currencies on the Steemit platform (other than Steem) is now circulating in the market . Not as popular as bitcoin or ethereum, but has its own users because of its large market capitalization and the strength of the community around the world. The market capitalization value for SBD is IDR 126 billion and IDR 3.5 trillion for Steem.

1.01 SBD income was obtained in 22 hours after sliding on the platform. That means there is still a chance of change because it can still get curation for seven days after the content is uploaded. That change could mean increasing if the votes gained more and or with a greater percentage than other account holders who have higher power. Users refer to that power as Steem Power, referring to the name of another crypto currency, Steem, which is produced by Steemit, a platform based on blockchain and cryptocurrency. Earnings can also decrease when SBD prices on the market are plummeting.

In the midst of SBD prices that are increasingly declining along with the decline in all types of cryptocurrency including bitcoin, the stretch of the writer to take advantage of the blockchain-based platform is still fairly high. The urge to work or upload old works in the world of blockchain is not merely in an economic setting. If only for the sake of economics, the award on the blockchain cannot be a measure of the quality of a literary work. Some short stories that have many fundamental weaknesses from a blogger, actually get a higher appreciation than the work of famous authors. Quality is not always directly proportional to income.

The advantage of blockchain technology provides wider space for all parties, not only around the issue of crypto currencies. As said by Mariska Lubis, author of Wahai Pemimpin Negeri !!! Belajar dari Sex, Dong !!, blockchain provides unlimited opportunities for all writers to introduce works, both those that have already been published and new works. For writers, developing literature on the blockchain is an entry point for literary campaigns while at the same time getting relatively more rewards — although it depends on things like crypto currency prices, system changes and rules (hardfork), to changes in the behavior of players in each the platform.

Blockchain is a peer to peer technology that is decentralized so that the process of accessing and moving data without relying on one server (blockchain.co.id). This reliability makes the work that is stored on the platform will not be lost and not easily hacked as works exposed on the site even more so on the blog. This is different from the work that is published in print media that requires a physical container to store it and is threatened to wear out over time. Data in any form, including literary and video works, will not be lost with time and cannot be erased. Its transparent nature makes literary works in the blockchain world easily accessible to anyone anywhere, as long as the internet is available.

Now there are already many platforms such as gese, weku, dream-real, scorum, and many more who are trying to build a community before making an Initial Coin Offering (ICO). There are platforms that specialize in certain themes such as sports, crypto currencies, and even liquor. However, some are open to any post and can be used by writers.

Token of Literary

All stakeholders in the literary world, may now be able to prepare a new concept in the development of a forum for work and continuous appreciation through blockchain technology. This concept is very different from literary works published in print media so far.

After his work is published in print, the writer gets a one-time honor from the media concerned, no matter the text is read once or a thousand times or without a reader at all, the amount of honorarium remains the same. To pay freelance writers and pay their employees, the print media earn income from circulation and advertising. That's what applies long ago and who knows how long.

In the future, works included in the blockchain platform can be given awards in the form of "literary tokens" that are calculated according to a particular system, for example the number of readers (clicks) or curation of competent observers or curators. No need to worry that the number of readers can be tricked by robots because with blockchain technology can overcome such behavior.

The author can get a good token that is managed by himself which can be converted in the form of crypto currency and then converted again in the form of rupiah, or can also only receive a fee in the form of rupiah after being managed by the media owner. The author can get an award within a certain time limit or it could be forever if the manager wants to bother himself to set the pattern of awarding. Various variants can be developed when the "literary token" has been born.

As a raw idea, literary discourse in the world of blockchain and appreciation in other forms for writers needs to be developed. Technology continues to evolve to change the needs and ways of human life, and literary works can adjust to the current without losing idealism. []

Thank you for your warning @chrisbarth. I think that's what you should do.

this is a brilliant idea. hopefully someone will pay attention. would be even greater if there are specific curation for literary products. this will certainly encourage the interest of the public to explore literature better because they get the assessment and appropriate place

Everyone should get a reward according to their contribution; for writers and readers, and curators too. This system is more uplifting and everyone wants to make a contribution.
