My Grandpa doesn't talk much. In fact, the Hillary conversation was one of the longest ones I've ever had with him. I do remember my grandmother one time saying, "I met the nicest nigger lady at the post office today." I was like five at the time and didn't understand much about language or race relations but I remember thinking, "Uh, I don't think that's how that word works."

Both times I was robbed (knife to the throat, then a year later sawed off shotgun to the back of my head; life is neat!) they were crackers.
