Do you still remember the mixtapes, the tapes we always recorded in the 70s and 80s. We always wore the headphones of the Sonny TPS-L2 Walkman and a little later we carried many kilos of the Boom Box JVC M-90 through the cities. Sorted and forgotten, the magnetic tapes are now stored in cartons and shoe boxes.

Max Romeo, now 72, grew up in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. He belongs to the first Reggae artists, he founded with the Barrett brothers the Hippy Boys which later became Lee Perry's band The Upsetters. Of the more than 20 longplayers so far, the last Horror Zone was released in 2016. In 1992 the electro harcore band Prodigy sampled the song Chase the devil and released it under Out of Space.
