Why Some Marriages Don't Last

Good day steemians.
It's been a while since I posted on this platform about marriage.
Many people have ended in broken or torn apart marriages simply because they forgot to follow procedures that leads to happy marriage.
In the life of a young man/woman, there are things to consider before planning to get married to who they think is their lover.
Before marrying your lover, the following should be considered;

1. One must have been at least 5 years in relationship with the person.
2. One must have known the good and bad days of his/her lover.
3. One must make sure that the person in quote is able and reliable to carry on the next life.
4. One must have been familiar with the person's way of life.
5. One must be familiar with the person's likes and dislike.
6. One must be able to blend in at least 90% of the person's moods.
   Remember: This is a lifetime journey.
7. One must be able to sacrifice for certain things.
   Sacrifice doesn't mean just giving up what is valuable today just to gain it in bigger form tomorrow. It could be forever.
8. One must be the listening and talking type.
9. One must be the lawmaking and law abiding type. It's true that a woman should be submissive to the husband but in some cases, the husband should also put himself in his wife's shoes.
10. Wives, listen to your husbands. If he doesn't want you to work or support the family financially at all, just chillax and take care of the kid(s). Men have their reasons.

There are soo many other things to consider before getting married but if most of what I just listed above is lacking in a marriage, believe me friend, that marriage won't last. There is no shortcut to a better marriage life.
You can't leave your parents house just to be fighting or quarreling with someone who is supposed to be your lover, soul mate, whichever name that suits your type.
Be guided.
Don't just just jump into marriage because you got pregnant or something like that.
Use the period of being in a relationship with the person to understand who she/he is.
Know the pros and cons of marrying such person through being in a relationship with the person.
Be familiar with the odds.
