You are really creative in your post. I was made to remember something I read in the book 'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus' by John Gray where he said that when his wife said something a bit harsh or angry he would reply her likewise or leave the house and that would do nothing but escalate the matter but when he learnt to show her affection when she is angry or a bit critical even when he found it difficult to, he found out that it not only eased the tension between them but also helped increase the love between them.
