video: Selling Nature in a Box [Commercialization Earth]steemCreated with Sketch.

We've seen the advertisements for products with a new formula, or new with all natural ingredients, or natural flavors. A good thing perhaps? Getting back to nature. Perhaps not. Let's discuss, the commercialization of nature.

Wishing blessings to everyone for the holidays. This recording just in time for the season of gift buying. People purchasing products they don't need with money they don't have. And by this time next year, the majority of these products will end up in a landfill, a fire, or somewhere worse like a water source.

In modern era, people are noticing something wrong. Something wrong with us being so disconnected from nature. A few people are seeing the terrible carnage that advanced global society is having on our bodies, minds, and communities. But for most people, it's more of a subconscious feeling, than any deep understanding of the problem. Most people have no idea of how disconnect from nature is the path of self destruction.

The misunderstood and misguided longing for nature has caused us to reach a new age of commercialism. We've become so disconnected from nature, we are literally try to buy it back. And like any smart entrepreneur would do, companies have jumped to take advantage of our confounded longing for natural existence.

Today we can look around and purchase "all natural" products of every category. All natural shampoo, all natural tooth paste, all natural clothing, all natural medicine, and even all natural massage gloves.

The first problem with these products is they are often feeding the global monster of commercialism and actual destruction of nature. The product packaging shows beautiful images of nature, but what they don't show is all the waste, packaging pollution, manufacturing and energy pollution. Just because something is labeled all natural, that doesn't mean it was made out in the forest with rainbows. Most such products are made in a large factory and shipped across country, or even over seas, to be shoved onto some shelf just like every other product.

And that's just some the manufacturing waste. Then when we get it home, what do we do? Rip it open, throw away the wrapping, and after it's all used up, we're often left with some container that we throw away as well.

How is this natural? How can the product even be natural? Nature doesn't come out of a plastic bottle. Also, other than honey, most things in nature will decompose and rot within a short period of time. Just leave any food out for a few days. Drying, canning, and salt are ways to naturally preserve things, but these methods can't be used for all products. And when they aren't used, then come the more exotic chemicals. Now chemical preservatives have been mixed with what we are to accept as a natural product. (Aloe clean ingredients)

Human skin is completely porous. We are literally riddled with pores all over our bodies, and anything we apply to our skin will be absorbed into it. That includes any chemical product additives.

But even if we assume that the product being advertised to us is 100% natural, then that still doesn't automatically make it good either. We inherently see that there is goodness in nature, but we don't understand it. Not everything in nature is good, but we can't grasp such a concept when we are so disconnected from it. Only by having a deeper connection in nature can we begin to discern what is and isn't beneficial for us.

To conclude, the message here is not to say every product labeled all natural is bad. Just that it isn't always good, and we should be wise about how we choose. Look for warning signs. Nature doesn't have fancy models. Nature can't afford expensive advertising agencies. And it can't be copyrighted or patented. Always buy locally whenever possible, and avoid feeding the globalist machine.

And most importantly, never mistake buying all natural products as connecting to nature. Some purchased item can never replace having such a real bond. Let's all spend some beautiful time outside, and grow in health this season, and every season. Get some sun, lay on the ground, sit by a fire, and feel the energy of our ancestors flow through us.

We send out love and to all our brothers and sisters. Stay blessed.
