Religion or Stupidity
Different people have different believe in the religion they are, some believe in something apart from what they read in the holy books (Quran and Bible) and also some believe that there are something in the books that other people don't follow in which they exhibit it and practicing it.
I have seen various people, when they are sick they refuse to use medicine because of what they believe in that uses of medicine is not in the view of the religion they are practicing. Another thing that shock me was when a woman was rush to hospital to deliver a baby but on getting there the doctor try their effort and later discover the woman needs blood so that she can survive, the doctor approach her husband and told him that his wife will need blood that he should get her a donor but was unable to get any of their relatives to donate blood for her which make the doctor to advice him to go and buy but he refused that the don't accept blood from someone they don't know from their own religion view.
The doctor explained to him that the blood is safe but he still refused and told the doctor, that was why they left three hospitals in three days because of this and told the doctor that he know that the God that he is serving won't betray him after so many years with the time the have devoted for HIM that HE must perform his wonder without the blood transfusion.
When the doctor saw that thing is getting out of hands he told the husband that he will proceed with the blood transfusion and the husband told him, if he try it he should be ready to face the warrant of the law, the doctor don't have another option than to tell the woman if she has any other relative that can sign for the blood transfusion but she has nobody to sign.
They put the woman on the wheelchair to go to beg her husband but he still refused and the woman was already in serious pain, people went to meet the man and plead to him and explain many things to him about religion but he still insist that they must not do the blood transfer. The doctor later tell him to take her to a government hospital which he agree and making preparations on the transfer which include the transfer documents and ambulance.
The hospital provided one of their outdated ambulance because new one was not on ground, but he started pleading to give him the one with first aid luckily the new ambulance arrived so he make the arrangement to use the new one. On the way to the ambulance the woman die of pain on the wheelchair, her husband started crying and the people around just tell him he is a fool that he don't need to cry after all what he wants to happen as happened.
Did God want us to loss our loved ones because we are serving him? God tell us to value our live and make sure we take proper care of it, so I don't believe that any view of the holy books will tell us to kill ourselves.

The woman would have at long last died even with the blood transfusion anyway
Yes she might die but not in that pain and the husband might not loss at the two edge
