The latest updates of the REMME project

If you follow the very prospective Ukrainian project REMME online, then you have probably come across their regularly updating Medium blog. Recently the team has published the long-read article about the latest updates of their software and the whole ecosystem. Let’s take a closer look at the updates offered by the REMME team.

The changes in integration libraries

REMME provides the version 0.1.0 into integration libraries that work for .NET and JS frameworks. In such way, the apps with these techs can simply integrate the business logic of REMME’s ecosystem to their own projects. In particular, there is a feature for interaction between the internal REST API and REMME Nodes.

In the new updated version of REMME integration library, all currency transactions are verified via user’s signing in the node where the client stores his personal information. In such way, the client can quickly be authorized as the Node administrator in the REMME ecosystem. As a result, the used library can be applicable only for local purposes. In the nearest future, REMME clients will receive an ability to register transactions. For convenience, REMME hasn’t changed the user interface to keep the internal logic practically untouched, except a few slight changes described above.

What has been changed in the REST API, REMChain and REMCore?

Improved web sockets will let REMME developers track down the changes in real-time for a quicker response in the installed apps;
Fixed endpoint of the CSR API successfully implements the validation processes simultaneously for uploading a pre-ready certificate;
REMChain was improved with a brand new protocol and atomic swaps. Thanks to this new features, users will be able to transfer REMs between the ETH blockchain and REMChain for more prolific management of user’s certificates;
REMCore stores a bunch of certificates for every user. Clients can quickly switch and replace between accounts with different certificates storing different data. In such way, the application performance can be significantly improved.

What’s new from the REMME’s Research Lab?

Following their own milestones in the roadmap for 2018, REMME continues to develop its current family of the efficient consensus algorithms to offers its customers the most progressive version in order to develop the consensus REMChain for the open blockchain that users can test right now. Soon the REMME’s team from the brand new Research Laboratory will post a detailed publication of their research and development.

To cut the long story short, REMME aims to research and build the new protocol Byzantine Fault Tolerance (shortly BFT), later study the mathematic models and differentiate the tech specs. At last, the team paved the research path for an identification of 3 new algorithms:

SBFT;
Honey Badger BFT;
Algorand’s protocol.

These protocols are only under the development and soon will go to the stage of benchmark tests.

Smaller updates of June 2018

REMME is proud to announce that the platform has been chosen for a shortlist of the annual Block Awards 2018 in the nomination “ICO: Zero to Hero 2018”;
The main token REM has been added to the major trading region on the website Gate.Io on the long terms (previously it was included only as a limited offers for the service’s customers). Also, a USDT market has been included;
Recently the REMME team participated in the most massive Consensus conference with over 8,4K attendees and 200 partners & sponsors. The developers managed to sing new partners and show their advanced technologies to the large target audience.

In common, REMME continues to pave its own path of success by improving the core elements and capturing the relatively new market of password management. REMME changes the game for participants of the $2 trillion dollar market of cybercrimes.
