A blessed day to all Steemians. I am used to help in gathering batchmates and school mates both in high school and college. If you remember, I had a blog last April with our college reunion, now with my high school batchmates.

Our fourth batch reunion was held last Sunday, May 13 in a beach resort just near our school in the town of Asturias. I am aware that traveling that time was not convenient because of many passengers to go home for the Barangay Election, yet it's in my mind that this can be easily forgotten with the joy of seeing my adolescent friends and companions 29 years ago. I am very much excited how they look especially those who are first timers to join.

I was late with the mass which was scheduled at 8:30 A. M. at Saint Roque Parish. It was because our house was located away from the town, I was waiting for my brother from the city with his motorcycle. Habal-habal is the only means of transportation in our peaceful village.

After the mass, we went to the venue at Waikiki Beach. Most working committee members were busy preparing the venue and food. We waited more batchmates who confirmed to attend but still on their way to the venue from far places. Every arrival was accompanied with greetings, smiles, laughing, joking and even shouting and bullying. The usual reunion experience was very much memorable.

While waiting for others and for the scheduled lunch, we ate this Spicy Fried Ginamos with boiled camote and medium ripe bananas. Had you eaten this favorite snacks of mine?

At exactly 12:00 noon, we took our lunch together as one family. In most cases, during eating silence may always the result but to this crowd of diners, still the noise of talking and joking prevailed.

More pictorials happened, it was quite an informal gathering with no sequence of program to follow. Shall I call it Pangmasa or Inato, which means the usual practice of the common people.

If Filipinos are known to be the best singers, it might be because of the Karaoke singing which is always an enjoyment in most celebrations. Additionally the joy of drinking liquors even Liquor Ban was already implemented that day because of the barangay election the next day. Our batchmate who is a stockist of beverages of the town got supplies from his warehouse.

As if I don't wanted to go home but I needed to because I was one member of the electoral board for the barangay election. I left at 3:00 P. M. feeling that the time was too short to be with my batchmates.

Remembering adolescenthood is quite the best thing to do in our age today. Knowing that some already are Lolas and Lolos, we can say that this is already an achievement to comply life if really this is for compliance. Knowing that there are some who remain single that we even created love teams and partnership hopefully they maybe developed.

One reason I won't miss a reunion is to forget our old age even just for the day, and reminiscing back our happy and sad life stories on how we struggle to survive life and meeting your friends before whom in one way or another became a part of your life journey.
