Finding use cases for our crypto

in #review6 years ago

Morning all, well, in the UK anyway!

Happy Fathers Day to any fathers reading this :)

I just wanted to share my latest YouTune video with you, which is a review I did on Zeex, a decentralised platform on the Ethereum blockchain, which will allow users to use their cryptocurrency for shopping through the purchasing of Gift Cards.

I'm always on the hunt for projects that will actually enable us to bring crypto into our everyday lives, real life use cases, which is how this particular one caught my attention. Although it might not be appealing to some crypto holders to actually spend their tokens on everyday shopping, it might be something worth thinking about under certain circumstances. For example, if I needed a new pair of shoes and the markets were doing particularly well that day, it might actually work out a lot cheaper for me to use my crypto instead of fiat to make that purchase. It's also worth mentioning that this platform's tagline is, "Crypto to product, no fiat, no fees".

If you want to find out more about this platform here is a link to their website zeex.me

Please always do your own due diligence and make sure to research the project and read the white paper. If you are visually impaired or would prefer to listen to the white paper, you can find an audio recording of it here

Have a beautiful day guys!

I think it's vitally important that crypto have an actual use. Some crypto enthusiast seem to want no one to ever actually spend their crypto, but if we weren't able to spend our crypto, what value would it have? They might constantly reference the guy that bought a pizza with bitcoin and talk about how much it would be worth today, or when it was at its peak, but it would never have been worth anything if he and others were never able to use their crypto for actual purchases.

That being said, there are a number of companies that let you purchase gift cards. There need to be more though. We also need companies to start offering deals on their cards when people purchase them with crypto.

Indeed. We can't really call it a currency if we can't spend it or find real use cases for it.

I'm not aware of the other companies, but I am familiar with this one's sister (centralised fiat based) company, Zeek. I guess only time will tell...

Thank you for your comment btw! :)

Zeex makes me excited..... All my shopping with Crypto.... And mass adoption not even started yet...

Me too! Projects like this one really are really exciting :)
