Book review (Ruffled butterflies)

#Ruffled butterflies is a collection of thirteen short stories. Each story serves as backstage permit into the everyday life of married couples living in Nigeria. It is no secret that a marriage is as fragile or formidable as the parties involved and this book presents it as such. .

The couples in this book quarrel over little things such as where to squeeze the toothpaste, when to flush the W.C and serious ones like adoption, infidelity etc.

Now, I know that some of these issues may appear insignificant, but trust me when marriages are involved, there is no issue that is so minute that it cannot initiate a squabble. For instance, I have seen a marriage break up over conflicting opinions on the best way to keep a broom after sweeping.

It is quite an interesting collection. I am not a fan of the author's writing style in the later stories, but most of the stories are funny and relatable. I liked about five stories in this collection.
