MAPAN P-02 merupakan salah satu produk dari PT primasid untuk mendukung petani Indonesia dalam pertanian dan suwasembada pangan Indonesia dikarenakan beras merupakan makanan pokok masyarakat. 
MAPAN P-02 mempunyai keunggulan di antaranya tahan kekeringan, tahan rebah sekaligus mempunyai umur yang agak pendek di bandingkan dengan merek yang lain.
Target produksinya pun tinggi yaitu 10 sampai 12 ton per hektar, benih padi ini paling diminati pada masa kering karena petani kesulitan mendapatkan air walaupun ada irigasi karena bendungan kering.
