Why Am I Going To SteemFest & Why You Should Come Too

I feel compelled to let you know why I am going!! So many others have, so I must too.

These 4 quotes pretty much sum it up!!

Friends/Acquaintances/SteemFriends/Followers... title the relationship anyway you want to, they can be made over cyberspace. We live in a world, where everything can be done on mobile. You never have to leave home!!

So who in their right mind would want to spend money and time going all the way to an event with a whole lotta people you have never met. Especially when you don't have money or time to spare!

What would possess you to take your introvert self out of your comfort zone to a place where you won't have the opportunity to switch off like you can with your PC?

When would be the right time to invest in something when you are surrounded by friends and family who are wary and warn you of its volitality.

Where would you be able to learn more about Crypto when you are still relatively clueless without feeling lost and stupid?

Why would you consider investing, to hodl and to grow your account even with it hovering under the Top 10, no - make that the Top 50 Cryptos.

Oh dear!!! What a mess?!! So who's going to SteemFest again?

Why would I be this Excited with a capital "E" after my 5W's? Sounds insane right? But this is where i have grown in so many ways that I cannot not go.

I have learnt about crypto at my own pace here on Steem. All I needed was to do the familiar, create and curate. Not rocket science. Nothing out of the ordinary. Non threatening.

It's funny cause, when I first heard of Crypto/Bitcoin, I associated "scam" with it. Besides, I had no interest in trading or the markets or studying charts and sitting on the edge of my seat, ever ready to sell, buy, sell, buy. No thank you. Not my thing.

I have dabbled in many things. Some, I have absolutely loved, going beyond the necessary. I would give it my all and top it with another 50%. Then there are things that will send me in a tail spin, setting off warning bells followed by an exit plan.

Steem however, was something else. I gingerly stepped in to explore. And that was almost 2 years ago and I'm not leaving, not any time soon.

Is it the Steemians I have come to know? Is it how much I have learnt along the way that doesn't put me in a spot when friends ask what I do and I can explain without looking like a deer caught in the headlights? Is it the possibilities of what can be? Is it how I've become more comfortable in my own skin? Or is it just my gut feeling telling me that I won't regret this?

My guess is, it is all of the above :)

Steem is not perfect. But there's more than enough for me to want to be surrounded by other Steemians. More than enough for me to want to learn more of all things Steem and its different DApps. Enough for me to step out of my comfort zone so I can explore how to play my part and make it work.

Besides, I have read posts and talked to those who've been to the previous ones, and it only makes me more excited. I am so glad that I have made the decision to go and am going.
