Construction workers being helped by robots
The advent of robots is gradually leading to significant transformations as robots are fast changing nearly every industry in the globe.
Over the years, there has been a lot of buzz in the media concerning the issue of robots and how they will replace workers in many industries and construction sites.
Construction workers seem to be becoming less robophobic as they are beginning to welcome their new robotic co-workers instead of becoming afraid of being totally laid off for these robots.
Workers now welcome the opportunity to automate some of the difficult tasks in the industry, keeping the workers away from the more monotonous and dangerous tasks, which is normal in my point of view.
Robots won't be stealing any jobs as many construction companies are already understaffed as a result of the aging and retirement of the older construction workers and the younger generation's preference for office jobs. This has caused a big labor shortage.
Construction workers do not see robots as threats to their jobs any more because most of these robots are only suitable for repetitive tasks and even at that, humans are still required to carry out some tasks in the construction sites and also supervise the tasks being carried out by the robots.
Humans are still needed to maintain the robots and get them started.
Construction workers are prepared to embrace the collaboration between them and their robotic co-workers as it will improve human efficiency and productivity and will allow the construction companies to carry out more work.
My dad worked 20 years ago in construction and told me he would have wished to be helped by the existing robots of today.
technology increases and health decreases,physical work is now a days is very less and old people live for mostly 80-100 years but now age of people decreases which lies b/w 60-70 bcz of technology
@jwolf wow this is mind blowing. Technology is great we are wishing to be helpd by the existing robots same like your father. This is a great changing that the Construction workers being helped by robots.
The current technology could allow for much more than this. But there is the problem of employment. I would also like to see robots do the hard work but we must also find new places for the replaced men to work.
As long as the concept of Universal Basic Income is not fully developed and our social policies are lacking, not to even mention the falling levels of education and the fact that education is strongly focused on treating children like robots (memorizing and repeating instead of creative tasks), we have no real hope of ever changing this.
The robots you added up there might be plastering robots, connected to a liquid mix of cement and sand, it sprays it evenly across the surface, measuring it with laser as it does it. This is not something that a human could do.

That's the future right there the efficiency would be on a new precised level
yup, the robots are good. I saw a robot bricklayer, what that means is that installing bricks will be a lot cheaper and then people will opt for bricks more often and then there will be even more work for human bricklayers.
