Rock Cafe

Rock Cafe is not unheard of amongst college students studying around Sunway and Subang Jaya. Rock Cafe is found opposite Sunway University amongst car workshops and other offices. This large cafeteria is divided into two parts - the outdoor and indoor areas. The outdoor seating area has two large fans circulating air, a wide screen that displays sport channels and other television shows but mostly sport channels. The indoor seating area is designed so all tables and chairs are in the middle of the room whereas the stalls are lined up nearly by the side. In the middle of the room, a large space is taken up by an economy rice stall owner.

This place is generally crowded with workers and students having their breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. Some people travel all the way to Rock Cafe to meet up with friends for a couple of beers and to watch the football match. Students from Sunway University and Monash University are mostly found eating here rather than at other restaurants because they serve affordable and delicious food here; most students live on a day to day allowance and sometimes, it isn't enough to eat at well-known restaurants such as Sushi Zanmai or Din Tai Fung. Rock Cafe offers a variety of food such as Pan Mee, Sizzling Hot Plates, Porridge, Nasi Kandar, Economy Rice, Western cuisine and more. When ordering beverages or waiting for your meal during rush hour, you might need to wait a while because the speed of the service decreases as the number of customers increase.
