The word "rupee" .

in #rupees6 years ago

20180626_232502.pngThe word "rupee" comes from Sanskrit Rupiah, which means "Pata Rupa, Silver Money". It came from the noun word silver, which means "form, structure, resemblance, picture". The word "silver" is the word "Urpupu", which means "a member of the body".

Sher Shah Suri, during his short reign from 1540 to 1545, introduced the first rupee, 178 grams of silver in silver. He also introduced the copper coins and 169 grens or gold coins.

Thanks you.....
