Our holiday in Turkey is coming to an end and the third day will bring us to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

As we enter the church of Saint George, we pay our respects to the icons and stay inside for a few moments to pray...

And listen to the Holy Words of the Gospel.

Unfortunately, we can't spend much time here as the next planned visit is the Monastery of the Holy Mother of Vlacherna. In this church the Byzantine people gathered to pray all night after the Holy Mother protected them against a siege.

Let's take some holy water from this fountain and chant Τη Υπερμαχω with the rest of the congregation.

Our next stop will be the Forum, a big mall that houses the Sea Life Aquarium of Constantinople.

We made lots of marine friends along the way!

Let's grab one last cup of coffee (and the tasty free chocolate spoon) and hop on the coach! The road back home is long and calling for us...

Our final stop on Turkish grounds is outside the town of Tekirdağ (or Ρεδαιστός - Redestos in Greek).

The night finds us back home where me and @trumpman run to see our dog! We had missed her after 3 whole days!

What a trip it was! Lots of colorful pictures, smells, sounds, feelings... Too bad it's all over and I'll have to wait for the next chance to get away from routine!
