Sincerely speaking, being good doesn't mean you should be careless with things around you.
Just because you are good doesn't guarantee goodness from the world if you are not playing your part to protect and shield yourself from the evil in it. The world is full of wickedness and not everyone is as good as you. That is why you have to partner with God to protect you from the evil in the world by paying attention to Him when he is speaking.
So many have fallen victim to unfavorable circumstances because they felt they can never be harmed by anyone. It's good to feel this way but not to the extreme of going to places where you can be endangered or entertaining things that is capable of destroying you. Pay attention and be safe!
